Peaceful Time

Yesterday four birds flew here, early in the morning. So many birds flying around, what a beautiful scene....

Last night, it was such a cool weather, the perfect 'cold' weather. I don't have to on the air-con at all. No one in the family on the fan either. Richard even complained of cold! That was so shiok.

This is the close-up view of the birds, I don't know what is the names of these birds, too small to see the details. Looking at the shape, it was hard to find out too...

This is a lamp post in front of Riverside Secondary School. There are three peaceful doves on it. I took this photos in the morning today.

However, this one here above is different. Just a mere look at it, the shape is there. These are peaceful dove, my 'coo-coo' birds, the birds that say,"coo-coo, coo-coo".

From far, as I turned my head, I was MOST SURPRISED and elated to see these three beautiful peaceful doves on the lamp post.

This is how special 'instinct' or the so called 'nature' can be. I did not know, but just one turn, just one look at the direction -- this 'natural' turn of the head and the eyes just 'see', how wonderful, how wonderful the creation of God, the works of God...

How Great Thou Art

At my home, the first sight that I saw was the beautiful clouds tinted with orange, everything seemed like a piece of painting. It was so beautiful... Walking around, sending the children to school, the clouds in the sky was so special again today. All was like painting and 'feathery' appearance. Richard told me,"don't behave like a naive person', but I tell you, these are really scenes and sight I had never appreciated before. They were really beautiful.

I asked the family last night, since the weather was so cool. On Sunday, I could feel 'such weather' when cycling just along the newly constructed bicycle tracks there. It was so strange, one moment it was 'natural air', but the next, the air seemed to be segmented -- at another segment, the air was so supercool (like aircon), and just a few metres away, it went back to 'normal' again. There was no air-con room, no building there. That was the second time 'Such cold air' I experienced this year. Another one was at the traffic light. Even the children can sense it. It was so SPECIAL, so cold, like air-con. With that, I wonder if Singapore can one day be like San Francisco, having a constant temperature, cooling air throughout the year, without have the need to install air-con at home. That would be so wonderful....

The Workers Are Few
It is said that Singapore is a garden city. Some time back, the rambutans were all ripe, red and looked so delicious hanging on the trees. First time I saw the rambutans on the rambutan trees near my neighbourhood. Mango trees also blossomed. Yet, today when I walked passed all these trees, the fruits all turned brown and dried up on the trees.........what a waste! How many people want to eat them? If we pluck them, we are going to be fined, but nobody, not even the Town Council or whoever in charge (WHO IS IN CHARGE anyway) looked into such matters. But when people pluck, someone would be in trouble....... that's how this society works.....

Sheep without a Shepherd
Things such as letting the children practice how last time people pluck rambutans from rambutans trees, using the trees as part of the lesson plan in school, rather than always study and study..... that would make children enjoy 'kampong' time, how people used to pluck rambutans, and they can eat rambutans, from the work of their hands.... that would be wonderful -- rather than wasting RAMBUTANS like that, precious fruits. (Gather all the rambutans on the trees, that would add up to be a few kilograms!)

Jesus said to his disciples, "The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.

Last night, I was not able to sleep....'not sleepy', the whole house was so quiet, the outside was so quiet also, no sound at all, all was really peaceful......not even dogs or cats sound, not even strange sound from the home....peaceful night...
