Bukit Timah Dream

This is Bukit Timah Plaza, a place which Richard and I used to go there, as well as my sister and my mother, but we had not gone there for a long time...

No dream last night, but dream on Sunday night, a dream of familiar place, a dream of familiar faces and a dream of schools. I dreamed of 'Robert' and also my children. Talked to 'Robert', and we were on a private bus, a long bus, sitting somewhere in the middle of it.

Not much to write about this, don't feel like writing about the conversation. It was about schools. The children were sitting beside me, one beside me and one behind(or in front, cannot remember clearly). Were sitting in the bus, don't know where it was heading, but suddenly, the bus swerved and turned at a bend so abruptly at Bukit Timah Road -- the road, the familiar road at Bukit Timah where Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Bukit Timah Plaza are. On the side of the road there were plants, my familiar plants, the forever green plant (万年青)

This is the plant which I used to grow when I was a child. My mother told me this is called 'Tek chew' (in teochew). These pictures were taken at Marina Bay, while walking on the way to Singapore Flyer.

About Bukit Timah
Bukit Timah is a hill in Singapore which stands at an altitude of 164 metres and is the highest point in the city-state of Singapore. Bukit Timah is located near the centre of the Singapore main island.

The surrounding area is an urban planning area known as Bukit Timah Planning Area under the Urban Redevelopment Authority and is part of the Central Region, and lies 10 kilometres from the city's central business district, the Central Area. This area is often referred to as Bukit Timah, and is also known as District 11. Eleven a HOLY number, NUMBERS are indeed mysterious......

The Bukit Timah area is a particularly prominent location with a high land value. The area of Bukit Timah has an extensive flora and forest compared to the parts of Singapore, and contains Bukit Timah Nature Reserve, which is partially responsible for its high land value.

It includes educational institutions such as Anglo-Chinese School (Barker Road), Singapore Chinese Girls' School, Methodist Girls' School, Hwa Chong Institution, National Junior College, Raffles Girls' Primary School, Nanyang Primary School, Nanyang Girls' High School, Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary School and Saint Joseph's Institution amongst others.
