Boon Lay Shopping Centre
On Saturday 17th May 2008, during lunch time, Clara and I took this opportunity to walk around Boon Lay Shopping Centre, the only shopping centre at my neighbourhood. This is the place where I used to make my spectacles. There are two optical shops here. I think the other one is no longer around. I did not seem to notice it that day.

The people seem to change already, and I did not see the 'familiar faces' which used to serve me last time.

Walking straight, you will reach this junction here as shown below.


Boon Lay Shopping Centre is so old now. Some shops are closed and the only presentable shop here is NTUC Fairprice, on the same level here.

Walking straight, you would come to 'Joo Guan Long' Motor insurance and something like that. I did not walk there on that day. Time was too rush. And I did not know how everything look like now at this other end now.

Mysterious Corner, Second Floor.... Eerie
However, it was the dream last night which I want to mention now. It was people whom I never see before that I dreamed about and it was this shopping centre which I dreamed and it is that corner of the shopping centre, which I did not walk with Clara AT ALL on that day (but it was in my dream).

Lorry Driver: Motor Insurance, Medical Benefits, Welfare
It was about lorry driver. He is very dark, chinese and wearing white shirt. He looked like one of the lorry driver who lived at my neighbourhood at Blk 169 or Blk 170 last time. But I did not know if it was him or some 'related' employee or friends of my father. There was another woman, long hair, looked like Eurasian type standing beside him. She interrupted my conversation with this lorry driver. I think Richard was beside me. I had forgotten the details of the dream, but it got to do with work and illness - "cough", excuses and something like that. All this happened outside the 'open space' at this Second floor of Boon Lay shopping centre. There used to be a staircase there. I did not know if everything is still the same or how everything look like now since I did not walk there on Saturday. However, deep in the area there, 'Joo Guan Long' the 'motor company' (I think), used to be there. That is the place where my father and brother always deal their lorries and car there.

Ju Ming Xia
On Saturday, I saw the word "Ju Ming Xia" opposite Boon Lay Hawker Centre. The picture below shows a big rain tree. All the rain trees in Boon Lay are so old and so big now. On the left is Boon Lay Shopping Centre. On the right, further down is the block of flat facing the road, where I saw the location for "Ju Ming Xia" while sitting on the bus on the journey back home on Saturday.

Mystery of the Mystery
I often heard my father talked about "Ju Ming Xia" but I don't know what is "Ju Ming Xia". It is something in this dream that is related. It is all about Motor insurance, Motor claim, motor accident, 'Joo Guan long' and Ju Ming Xia. A lot of things in this.
